Products
A Product is a data record for something you're promoting — for example, a single item in a catalog. Products live under Products in the main navigation.
What a product contains
Every product has:
- Tags, used to organize and filter products.
- Linked assets — one or more Assets (typically product images) attached to the product.
- Custom fields — your team defines which fields a product has (for example, SKU, price, description) under Settings → Data management → Product data. This also controls the layout of the product creation and edit form.
Working with products
From the Products overview you can:
- Add product — create a single product manually.
- Import products — bulk-create or update products from a file.
- Export products — download your product data.
Opening a product takes you to its Product details page, where you edit its fields and linked assets.
How products are used
Products aren't used directly inside a publication. Instead, a product is linked to one or more rows in a Campaign's Briefing (a Campaign Item). That Campaign Item — and the product data and assets it carries — is what gets placed onto a Publication Item's layout.
