Content Groups and Content Rules
Content permissions decide which records a user can access. They are separate from Roles, which decide which actions a user may perform.
A Content group is assigned to users. A Content rule gives one or more groups access to records that match its conditions. Rules can target Assets, Briefing Items, Products, Campaigns, Publications, Publication Items, or Templates. When creating a rule, administrators can also select Give permission to edit content to grant write access to the matching records.
A user therefore needs both the functional permission for an action and content access to the record. When either is missing, the corresponding content or action may not appear.
