Publications
A Publication is a finished output you're producing — for example, a catalog, a set of print ads, or a batch of digital banners. A publication belongs to a Campaign or a Project, and is made up of one or more Publication Items.
Creating a publication
From a campaign's or project's Publications tab, use Add publication and provide:
- Publication name (must be unique within its campaign or project)
- Tags
- Variants, if your team uses Variants — a publication must have at least one
- Workflow configuration — the Workflow this publication's items will follow; required, and can't be changed casually once items exist
- Deadline
Working inside a publication
Opening a publication takes you to its workflow screen, where you work with its Publication Items. Depending on the publication's workflow configuration, you'll find tools to:
- Assign Briefing content to items
- Lay out items using their template
- Upload source files (for example, an exported InDesign file)
- Preview rendered output
- Review sticky notes (comments) left on items
- Move items between workflow steps
- Add pages or spreads
- Manage export packages
See Publication Items and Workflows for details on how items move through production.
