Configure Asset Filters
Asset filters determine which asset data fields are available as filter options in the asset browser. When you configure filters, you make it easier for users to find specific assets by allowing them to filter on attributes like format, color, brand, or any other asset data field your team uses.
Before you start
Asset filters are based on asset data fields. Before creating filters, ensure that the data fields you want to filter on have been created in the Manage Data Fields section.
Create an asset filter
- Go to Settings → Data Management → Asset data.
- Select the Filters tab.
- In the filter configuration form, specify which asset data field you want to make filterable.
- For each filterable field, you can optionally define the specific values that should appear as filter options.
- Save the configuration.
Once saved, the configured fields appear as a filter panel whenever users browse assets.
Edit an asset filter
- Go to Settings → Data Management → Asset data.
- Select the Filters tab.
- Update the filter configuration by adding or removing fields.
- Save the changes.
Your changes take effect immediately. Users will see updated filter options the next time they load the asset browser.
Remove a filter
To stop filtering on a specific field:
- Go to Settings → Data Management → Asset data.
- Select the Filters tab.
- Remove that field from the filter configuration.
- Save the changes.
The field will no longer appear as a filter option to users.
How users use asset filters
When browsing assets in the asset library:
- Go to Assets.
- Look for the filter panel on the left side of the asset browser.
- Select one or more filter values to narrow down the asset list.
- The asset list updates in real time to show only assets matching your selections.
Users can combine multiple filters to refine results further. To clear all filters and see all assets again, use the clear filters option in the filter panel.
