Configure Product Asset Export Setups

A Product Asset Export Setup defines the structure and output format when you export a Product's linked Assets. The setup controls how assets are organized into positions (called sorting items) and how image assets should be formatted.

Create a product/asset export setup

  1. Go to Export setupsProduct asset export setups.
  2. Click Add setup.
  3. Fill in the setup information:
    • Name (required) — a descriptive name for the setup (e.g., "Magazine Cover")
    • Description (optional) — additional details about the setup's purpose
  4. Go to the Sorting items tab.
  5. Add one or more sorting items:
    • Click Add sorting item.
    • Enter a Label for each position (e.g., "Front page", "Back page").
    • Optionally mark a sort item as primary — this marks assets in that position as the primary asset.
    • Reorder items by dragging them (use the icon next to each item).
  6. Go to the Export format tab.
  7. Configure image export settings:
    • Format — choose PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF, or GIF. Only image file types are affected by this setting; other file types export in their original format.
    • Scale type — currently only "Box size" is available.
    • Width (1–20,000 pixels) — the width for exported images.
    • Height (1–20,000 pixels) — the height for exported images.
  8. Click Save to create the setup.

At least one sorting item is required before you can save a setup.

Edit a product/asset export setup

  1. Go to Export setupsProduct asset export setups.
  2. Click the setup you want to edit.
  3. Update any of the following:
    • Name or description in the Information tab
    • Sorting items in the Sorting items tab (add, remove, reorder, or change labels and primary settings)
    • Export format settings in the Export format tab
  4. Click Save.

Delete a product/asset export setup

  1. Go to Export setupsProduct asset export setups.
  2. Find the setup in the table.
  3. Click the delete icon (trash can).
  4. Confirm the deletion.

You cannot delete a setup that is currently used by products. Check which products use the setup before deleting.

Using a product/asset export setup

After creating a setup, you associate it with a product and use it during export:

  1. Open a Product and go to Product asset export.
  2. Select the Product Asset Export Setup you want to use.
  3. Drag the product's linked assets into the positions defined by the setup's sorting items.
  4. Run the export action.

See Export Product Assets for detailed export instructions.
