InDesign Plugin ​

The Relayter InDesign plugin lets you work on Publication Items directly in Adobe InDesign. Open items assigned to you, place assets from Relayter, and save your work back to the platform without leaving InDesign.

Current version
Make sure you have the latest plugin version. To check which version you have, go to Plugins → Relayter → About in InDesign.

Install the plugin ​

The plugin works with Adobe InDesign 2024 (version 19.4) or later. You can install it in two ways. We recommend installing it through Adobe Creative Cloud.

Option 1 (preferred): Install it through Adobe Creative Cloud ​

Installing through Adobe Creative Cloud is the preferred route. When you install the plugin this way, Creative Cloud also notifies you automatically when a new version is available, so you do not have to check for updates yourself.

  1. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.
  2. Go to Stock & Marketplace → Plugins and search for Relayter.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Restart InDesign. You find the plugin under the Plugins menu → Relayter.

Option 2: Download it from the Relayter website ​

Although Creative Cloud is the preferred route, it can be useful to download the plugin from the Relayter website. Every update goes through Adobe's review before it appears in Creative Cloud, which can take a while. If a version has a serious bug, you can install the fixed version right away instead of waiting.

  1. Go to Relayter plugins and extensions and download the InDesign plugin. You get a file called Indesign-Plugin-Relayter.ccx.
  2. Double-click the file. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app opens and asks if you want to install the plugin.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Restart InDesign. You find the plugin under the Plugins menu → Relayter.
