Create a Workflow Configuration
Workflows define the steps that Publication Items move through during production. Administrators create and configure workflows to match their production process.
Create a new workflow
- Go to Workflow → Workflow configuration.
- Click Add configuration.
- Enter a name for the workflow.
- Define the workflow steps (see Configure Workflow Steps and Components).
- Click Save.
Copy an existing workflow
To start with a workflow similar to an existing one, you can create a copy:
- Go to Workflow → Workflow configuration.
- Find the workflow you want to copy.
- Click the Copy action on that workflow.
- Confirm that you want to copy it. The new workflow will include all steps, transitions, and components from the original.
- Edit the copied workflow as needed (see Edit a workflow below).
Edit a workflow
- Go to Workflow → Workflow configuration.
- Find the workflow and click Edit.
- Update the name, description, steps, transitions, or components.
- Click Save.
Changes to a workflow take effect immediately but do not affect Publication Items that are already in progress. Only new items created after the change will follow the updated workflow.
Delete a workflow
- Go to Workflow → Workflow configuration.
- Find the workflow you want to delete.
- Click the Delete action.
Important: A workflow can only be deleted if it is not currently in use. If the workflow is used by any Publications, an error message displays the campaigns and publications that use it. You must either delete those publications or assign them a different workflow before you can delete the workflow configuration.
