Create a Dynamic Content Template

Dynamic content templates produce After Effects or HTML output and are used to generate variants of designs based on data-driven rules. Each template specifies an engine, includes a project file, and requires a dynamic content ruleset to define how content is generated.

Create a dynamic content template

  1. Go to TemplatingDynamic contentTemplates.
  2. Click Add template.
  3. Fill in the template details:
    • Name — a descriptive name for the template
    • Tags — optional tags to organize and filter templates
    • Engine type — select After Effects or HTML
    • Channel — automatically set to Digital (fixed for all dynamic content templates)
  4. Select a project file:
    • If engine is After Effects, select an existing After Effects project file
    • If engine is HTML, select an existing HTML project file
  5. Select a Dynamic content ruleset — this is required and defines how the template generates content.
  6. Optionally add Variants — if variants are enabled for your team, you can select multiple variants and configure a project file and ruleset for each.
  7. Click Save to create the template.

Edit a dynamic content template

  1. Go to TemplatingDynamic contentTemplates.
  2. Find the template in the list and click to open it.
  3. Update any of the template settings:
    • Name, tags, engine type, project file, or ruleset
    • Add or remove variants
  4. Click Save to apply changes.
